PADI Deep Diver Course – Explore Beyond the Limits

Curious about what lies deeper beneath the surface?The PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course takes you beyond the 18m/60ft limit of Open Water Diver and teaches you how to plan and safely conduct dives down to 40m/130ft – the maximum depth for recreational scuba diving.

Whether you want to explore wrecks, visit deep reefs, or experience a different underwater environment, this course gives you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to do it safely.

• PADI Adventure Diver or higher (must include Deep Adventure Dive), or equivalent certification
• Minimum age: 15 years old
• Be in reasonable physical health for diving – complete the PADI Medical Questionnaire and obtain physician clearance if required

During the course, you will:

• Plan and execute deep dives up to 40 meters / 130 feet
• Understand the effects of increased pressure and nitrogen narcosis
• Use specialized deep diving equipment
• Manage gas supply and calculate air consumption for deeper dives
• Practice emergency procedures for deep diving scenarios
• Learn to navigate and communicate effectively at depth

• 4 open water deep dives – conducted over at least two days
• Knowledge development sessions – covering dive planning, risk management, and safety considerations
• Specialized equipment use – such as dive computers, redundant air sources, and reels
• Full scuba gear rental (if required)
• PADI Deep Diver certification upon completion
