PADI Master Scuba Diver – The Black Belt of Recreational Diving

Ready to join the elite? The PADI Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest non-professional level in the PADI system – a recognition of your skill, experience, and dedication to diving.Only about 2% of divers ever achieve it, making it a true badge of honor.

As a Master Scuba Diver, you’ll have a wealth of training across multiple diving specialties, experience in a variety of environments, and the confidence to handle almost any diving situation.It’s not a course in itself, but a certification that acknowledges your achievements as a diver.

Prerequisites

To apply for the Master Scuba Diver rating, you must:

  • Be PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
  • Be PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
  • Have five PADI Specialty Diver certifications
  • Have logged a minimum of 50 dives
  • Be at least 12 years old (12–14 will be Junior Master Scuba Diver)
