PADI Enriched Air Diver – Extend Your Bottom Time

Want to stay down longer and get back in the water sooner?The PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Course teaches you how to use Enriched Air Nitrox – a breathing gas with a higher percentage of oxygen than regular air – to extend your no decompression limits and reduce your surface intervals.

Whether you’re on a liveaboard, diving multiple times a day, or exploring deeper sites within recreational limits, diving with nitrox can give you more time to enjoy the underwater world.

• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Minimum age: 12 years old
• Good physical health for diving – complete the PADI Medical Questionnaire and obtain physician clearance if required

In this course, you will:

• Understand the benefits and limitations of diving with Enriched Air Nitrox
• Learn how to set your dive computer for nitrox use
• Analyze the oxygen content of a scuba cylinder
• Plan dives using nitrox to extend your no decompression limits
• Manage oxygen exposure and follow safe depth limits
• Use proper labeling and handling procedures for enriched air cylinders

• PADI Enriched Air Diver eLearning or classroom theory
• Hands-on practice analyzing tanks and setting dive computers
• Optional open water dives (varies by location)
• PADI Enriched Air Diver certification upon completion
